Pipedown

Background music is bad for health, U.K. campaigners Pipedown Campaign for Freedom from Piped Music has claimed, and calls for silence in hospitals. The health minister has been urged to pay for blanket licensing to allow pop music to be played in wards and waiting rooms to boost morale. But Pipedown says unwelcome music is irritating and stresses those who can’t move away from it.
