TD Ottawa Jazz Fest takes to stage, virtually and in person, with an eclectic lineup that’s reigniting our love for the festival
Our new normal has arrived, and with it comes new and reimagined ways to enjoy the sights and sounds that once filled our summer calendars. Whether from the comforts of home, the cottage, a friend’s back patio, or live in person at a concert venue, the Spirit of Sound will soon reverberate through all kinds of speakers, helping to set the tone for a great experience regardless of the stage.
This year’s TD Ottawa Jazz Fest celebrates the all-encompassing spirit of jazz, providing patrons with endless streams of virtual and in-person entrainment. As a festival that has pivoted and persevered, it is the energy and vitality of the musicians, sponsors and patrons that keeps the festival’s beat strong and in sync.
Taking to the stage from Aug. 19 to 22, check out an eclectic and inspiring lineup of world-renowned music vanguards, including Christine Jensen – Remergence Tentet, iskwé & Tom Wilson, Kathleen Edwards, The Larnell Lewis Band, Tanika Charles & The Wonderfuls, The Barr Brothers, Kellylee Evans, and more.
Inspired by a remarkable selection of artists in a series of intimate and professionally produced videos as well live stage performances, TD Ottawa Jazz Fest will bridge sensorial spectacle with ultimate accessibility, with three jazz-infused summer series to take part in.
You can simply purchase your ticket to the TD Summer Virtual Festival, with 17 power-filled shows that you can enjoy from the comforts of anywhere. Or, get your FREE ticket to OLG Free the Jazz Shows, a live and in-person series with over 35 shows featuring artists such as Miguel de Armas + Elmer Ferrer, Angelique Francis Band, Silla and Rise and Rebecca Noelle. They’ll be taking to the stage at both emerging and traditional venues, including Confederation Park, Sparks Street, Irene’s Pub, Live! on Elgin, GigSpace and the NAC’s Fourth Stage.
Looking to strike a different kind of chord? Take the scenic route to the countryside and take part in the Getaway Jazz Experience, with four FREE (ticketed) shows at Moore Farm in Gatineau.
