Maryanne Ratz of Carcross, Yukon, writes, “What a surprise! My husband Ron was reading Our Canada (DecemberJanuary 2017), when he came across the story, ‘Angelic Flowerpot’ about the hidden angel inside it. Ron had bought me two beautiful end tables displaying the heads of a mare and its colt under a round, glass table top. About ten years ago, one of them got knocked over and the mane was the only thing that broke, so I gathered the pieces and kept them to fix it one day. My granddaughters, Ava (8) and Abby (7), were helping me dust just before Christmas. Abby was working on the broken end table. All of a sudden she called, ‘Grandma, Grandma, come here!’ So Ava and I went over to see what was so exciting. Inside the horse’s mane was an angel leaning against a vine and another climbing up it. How could this be? Now I don’t want to fix it or cover it up! I would like to put something clear over the damaged spot so you can always see them. Talk about a blessing in disguise!”
