This alien land, this strange new place I stand alone with no familiar kindly face. To ease my heart and make for my content Will this be home, this odd and foreign shore?

Could I turn to find a kindred soul or open door My restless state would be no more. I’d not cling and cleave to all that’s past Ah, gentle earth, my heart would root at last.

To you I turn with all I have to give Here on this prime land I choose to live. If at times my ways are strange and new Accept this as my special gift to you.
