Glengarry club wins 16 medals at meet
The Glengarry Skating Club racked up 16 medals — including 10 silver and three gold — at the Okanagan Interclub Competition on the weekend in Armstrong.
Saki Smith earned two gold medals, with Sabrina Fortunato winning one. Both skaters are from Summerland.

Saki Smith: 1st in Star 7 Women, 17.33 (personal best); 1st in Star 6 Women, 21.28; 2nd in Star 6 (Elements) with a personal best.
Sabrina Fortunato: 1st in Star 9 Women, 17.88; 3rd in Gold Women, 23.46.
Nadia Snyman: 2nd in Star 8 Women, 22.26; 3rd in Star 7 Women, 16.15.
Samantha Macnally: 2nd in Star 7 Women, 16.75; 4th in Star 6 (Elements) with a personal best; 5th in Pre-Juvenile Women under-11, 18.38.
Jordana McEachern: 2nd in Juvenile Women under-14, 25.34; 2nd in Open (Elements) with a personal best. Meagan Pankratz: 2nd in Gold Women, 27.41. Amy Slater: 2nd in Star 4 Girls’ 13-and-over with a personal best. Giselle Weisheit: 2nd in Star 4 Girls’ under-13. Payten Ferguson: Silver in Star 1 Girls and Boys. Kaylee Fortunato (Summerland): Silver in Introductory (Interpretive); 11th in Star 5 Girls’ under-13, 12.54.
Isabelle Tuckwood: 3rd in Star 5 Girls’ 13-andover, 12.34; 4th in Gold Interpretive, 28.50 (personal best).
Patricia Fortunato (Summerland): 4th in Star 7 Women, 13.80; 5th in Star 8 Women, 19.52.
Cloe Robert: 5th in Star 4 Girls’ 13-and-over (personal best).
