Together we can make a difference! Christmas music to benefit refugees

Join Tracy Fehr and studio singers for Voices in Song, an evening of Christmas music on Sunday, Dec. 4, with all proceeds from the concert going to the UN Refugee Agency in Canada.

“Christmas is a time to help others both at home and abroad,” said lyric coloratura soprano, Tracy Fehr. “And there’s no better time of year for beautiful music.”

“The concert is a delightful mix of familiar and jazzy Christmas tunes to the beautiful and sacred,” adds Fehr, who will perform songs from Handel’s Messiah as well as O Holy Night, which year after year brings audiences to their feet.

Visit Tracy Fehr Voice Studio on Facebook for a sneak preview of this performance.

In addition to Fehr, this year’s concert features Dennis Nordlund (piano), and studio singers, Sophia Zang, Derek Beaton, Jay Demetrick, Bruce Martel, Heather Allen and more.

“We have some exciting additions this year,” said Fehr. “We’re so pleased to be joined by singers Alex Wedensky and Natalia Polchenko, who specialize in early music in Vernon.”

The new Penticton a cappella ensemble, Seraphim, will also be performing sacred music from the 1400s as well as a madrigal by Monteverdi.

“We host this concert in the spirit of giving, to fundraise for refugees, and to share this beautiful music at Christmastime. We hope you can join us.”

The concert is being held Sunday at St. Saviour’s Anglican Church at 150 Orchard Ave. beginning at 7 p.m., Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the door or in advance from The Leir House. Phone 250-486-5073 for additional details.
