Vertical & Vintages wine event at Apex

-

Apex Mountain Resort announced its 5th annual Vertical & Vintages wine event weekend.

Centered around a wine tasting evening hosted by the Naramata Bench Wineries Association, skiers and boarders can enjoy samples from 20 Naramata Bench wineries on Saturday, March 4 from 7 - 9 p.m. at the Bunbarrel Salon.

“We are excited to be partnering up with the Naramata Bench Wineries Association for the fifth year for this fun wine event and weekend at Apex. The Naramata Bench, a renowned wine region that starts in Penticton and winds up the eastern shore of Okanagan Lake, is only a 45minute drive from the Apex,” said Apex Mountain Resort general manager James Shalman. “There are 20 wineries that are participating and will be showcasing a variety of their wines. It’s going to be a great weekend with participants able to play in some of the Okanagan’s freshest champagne powder during the day and taste first class regional wines at night.”

In addition to the wine tasting, the Gunbarrel restaurant will have a selection of food that will be included in the event ticket price.

Guests will enjoy a variety of small plates to tantalize their taste buds — hot and cold bites, cheeses and more.

To complete the Vertical & Vintages evening, there is the after party with live music and dancing with Naramata’s favourite party band, UnCorked.

The Naramata Bench Wineries Association is known for its quality wines, laid back personal approach and warm welcome. They have created a unique culture, presenting their wines and region with enthusiasm and in fun ways that make Bench events a must for exceptional wine experiences.

Tickets for the wine tasting are $49 plus tax and available from www.eventbrite.ca or by contacting Apex at 1-877-7772739. Guests to the event may also qualify for a 25 per cent discount off adult lift tickets. Shuttle service from Top Cat Tours will be available for $15 round trip by phoning 250-493-7385.
