Vees’ prospect shines for Burnaby in CSSHL playoffs

Rizzo and his Burnaby Winter Club teammates fell 3-1 to Edge in the midget prep final of the Canadian Sport School Hockey League championsh­ips, which were staged in Penticton.The week-long event attracted 49 teams from 18 different hockey academies with 900 players in five divisions .The respective rosters included 88 WHL bantam draft picks, including Rizzo, who went 15th overall last year to the Kamloops Blazers. After scoring 12 goals and 53 points in 28 CSSHL regular-season games this season, Rizzo is now joining the Vees for their BCHL playoff run. He has yet to decide where he’ll play next season.
