The guitar superstar Don Alder returning to Penticton, May 10

Amazing finger-style guitarist Don Alder returns to Penticton for one night at The Nest & Nectar Restaurant in the Cannery Trade Centre, Wednesday, May 10.

The Williams Lake native is wrapping up a European tour, then will do a once around B.C. before heading off for a one-month tour of China.

Alder will feature his amazing mastery of the acoustic guitar which garnered him many awards and accolades. His original songs – both instrument­al and vocal – demonstrat­e his hypnotic technique and inspiratio­nal life experience­s.

As usual, he brings a few surprises with him in the form of a scallop–fretted baritone guitar and his signature harp guitar — always a crowd favourite.

The concert consists of The Nest & Nectar’s popular gourmet buffet. and Alder’s performanc­e with a dessert intermissi­on. Local entertaine­r Kyle Anderson will provide background music during dinner with Alder hitting the stage at 7:30 p.m. Anderson recently released a CD, “The New Originals,” which is available for sale at The Dragon’s Den.

Doors open at 6 p.m. with dinner served at 6:30 p.m.. Tickets are $45 plus GST (seniors: $40 plus GST) for the buffet dinner and concert and includes dessert at intermissi­on.
