The Penticton Tim Hortons Pinnacles will see both first and worst in their first two road games of the Pacific Coast Soccer League Reserve Men’s Division season.

Penticton (1-1-0) gets a huge test on Saturday as they take on Vancouver United at 4 p.m. at the Empire Turf North field.

United has surged out of the game with four straight victories by a combined score of 13-4.

In a showdown for first place on Tuesday, United went on the road and thumped Port Moody FC 6-2.

The Pinnacles have a quick turnaround in facing Khalsa Sporting Club on Sunday at 3 p.m. at Queen’s Park East.

Khalsa — who played the Vancouver Thunderbirds on Thursday night — is off to a rough start with three straight losses by a combined score of 9-4.

The Pinnacles lost 2-1 to the Victoria Highlanders before bouncing back to beat the Vancouver Thunderbirds 2-0 last Saturday.

Thompson Rivers University’s top striker, Ryan Glanville, signed with the Pinnacles last week and could debut on the weekend.

“We’ve got some depth and we’re going to need it this weekend,” said Pinnacles head coach Ezra Cremers. “You need to have around 18 or so for back-to-back road games like this.”

The Pinnacles will play two more road games next weekend before returning home to take on the Mid-Isle Mariners on June 24 at 1 p.m. at SoccerX.com Field.
