- SASHA

Well it's time to wrap up another grand year at the Electronic Expo. Lets took a look at the big three console makers and their announcements.

Sony showed a number of games for their VR headset from Skyrim, Final Fantasy and original shooter called Bravo Team. Knack 2 a sequel to the fun platformer and combat title was given a September release date.

God of War was also shown from the trailer it looks like you can control both Kratos and his son. The combat looks fluid and with that gruesome flair we have come to expect from God of War.

Another hit game that was given a brief showing was Days Gone. Days Gone puts player into an open world zombie apocalypse.

Sony showed that not only do players have to contend with hordes of zombies but also other humans trying to survive.

Besides Days Gone the other winner from the Sony showcase has to be the newest game from the people that brought is Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls called Detroit.

Detroit puts players into the shoes of a cybernetic human called Marcus wanting to end the slavery of all those cybernetics.

Nintendo announced Metroid 4 and a new Pokemon title coming to Switch.

While Nintendo made the announcements of these titles there was no trailers or gameplay shown. Kirby and new dlc for Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild.

Happily a new Mario title was shown off in a trailer and given a release date. Super Mario Odyssey was given a October release date for the Switch.

Microsoft showed off their newest and most powerful console that will come out in November.

The system will be called X Box One X. X will have the most powerful components and also be the smallest console. The only drawback to this powerful system is the price tag of $499 US.

With this new system being costlier then the Slim or PS4 Pro it will be interesting to see how it sells.

Crackdown 3 was demoed also given a release date of later this year. I have always loved the humour and destruction of the Crackdown series and can't wait to try this newest titles later this year.

A brand new title shown off was called Anthem. This cooperative mech based game looked amazing. The gameplay showed off cool weather effects and jaw dropping visuals run on the Xbox One X.

Horror fans will rejoice about the sequel to The Evil Within 2 launches in October this year just in time for those scary Halloween play sessions.

Metro Exodus was also showcased running on the Xbox One X. The post apocalypse game takes place both above and below ground and will take players to new locations.

Forza Motorsports 7 was shown in true 4k form. The game truly looked breathtaking if you add to that an almost endless indie game lineup you have the makes of almost the best E3 to date.
