Eibner wins golf Review Cup
Val Eibner carded a 36-hole score of 175 to capture the Summerland Golf and Country Club ladies’ Summerland Review Cup competition.
Vijai Vaagen finished four strokes off the pace at 179.

Livingstone 4some tops at Twin Lakes
Countback decided the outcome as the Tom Livingstone foursome triumphed at the Twin Lakes Golf Resort Senior men's day “4 Man Team 2 Low Net” outing on Tuesday.
Other members of the squad, which logged a 121, were Mitch Netterfield, Chris Redman and Barry Palmer.
Settling for second place were Don Minto, Gerry Nimchuk, Alex Wilson and Chuck Clubine.
The team of Gary Kennedy, Don Allbright, Bill Rogocky and Lou Brulotte were third at 123.
Don Allbright notched closest-to-thepin on No. 2 and Alex Wilson on the second shot on No. 15. Alex Wilson had long putt on No. 14.
Senior men’s tied at golf country
Bill Stevenson and Jim O’Neill are tied at one-over-par 71 after the opening round of the Penticton Golf and Country Club senior men’s club championship Wednesday.
The second and final round will be played next Wednesday (Aug. 2).
Bud Kadin shot an 82 to lead by two strokes in the B flight, Chris Cottrill fired an 84 to also lead by two in the C flight, while Greg McWilliams carded an 87 to open up a nine-shot cushion in the D flight.
Kamloops again lacrosse champs
The Kamloops Venom made it three straight Thompson Okanagan Junior Lacrosse League championships.
The Venom shaded the Vernon Tigers 10-9 in the fifth and deciding game of a thrilling championship series Monday in Kamloops.
Each of the last three games in the best-of-five series was decided by one goal. The home team won all five games, with Vernon actually outscoring Kamloops 46-42.
Since Vernon is the host team, both clubs advance to the provincial JuniorB championships Aug. 4-7 at Kal Tire Place.
