Championships are decided at Penticton club
Dean Bates and Diane Anderson triumphed at the Penticton Golf and Country Club men’s and women’s club championships on the weekend.
Bates stormed back on Day 3 of the 36-hole competition to finish at 152 — two strokes better than Brooks Lancaster and Kevin Grieve at 154.
Lancaster took runner-up by countback, while Grieve settled for winning the overall low net at 134.
On the women’s side, Anderson fired a two-round total of 171 to prevail by four strokes and take home the Raymond James Trophy as overall low gross winner.
Louise Hickey won the Jack McFall Memorial Trophy as overall low net winner at 144. MEN’S: Championship flight (0-10 handicap): Gross, Lancaster, 154; net, Grieve, 134.
