Snipers in crosshairs

The Clancy’s Snipers held on to fairly a comfortabl­e 10-point lead atop the Penticton and District Dart Associatio­n standings, but plenty of the chasing teams are on the move.

The Snipers bagged 19 points in Week 6 action to take their total to 116. Elk’s No. 1 team and Roll N Stones Fun Centre Alley Brats each had 22 points and sit at 106 and 103 points, respective­ly.

Elk’s stayed in the chase with 21 points to sit fourth at 96, while ANAF Smokin’ Aces racked up a week-high 25 points to surge past the ANAF Wreckers and into the top five at 92 points.

The Wreckers are sixth in the 19-team league with 85 points. Two more players – Dave Pearson and Ryan McKenzie – joined the 180 club along with Mike Meaney, Bryan Gipson, Deb Nicholls and Jason Gerlat.

John Broccolo had the high out at 154 and Betty Gibson has the high score on the women’s side at 165.

Debrisay team tops PGCC

The team of Trish Debrisay, Elaine Vonck, Janice Clary and Gail Benedictso­n logged a 67 to win the Penticton Golf and Country Club ladies’ season-ending “Mexican Scramble” event on Tuesday.

Second place at 71 went to Maureen Bildfell, Peggy Sheridan and Ann Peach.

Taking third spot at 72 were Pat Fleming, Patty Metcalf, Bernice Cameron and Karen Gladish. — Herald Staff
