The names of six local social enterprise­s that will be vying for Okanagan Changemake­rs ChangeUP prizes on Nov. 2 have been revealed.

They are: community engagement app Volinspire, Start Fresh, Hope for the Nations, Junior Achievemen­t, Change Gamers and Silver Surfers.

The six businesses will pitch their concepts to at a 7 to 9 p.m. session at the Kelowna Community Theatre and then the audience will pick the top three winners.

The first-prize winner receives $5,000 cash and $2,500 worth of consulting and accounting services from KPMG.
