Trudeau just like father

-

Dear editor: Tom, I too will probably have to keep my flak jacket handy (Letters, Herald, Nov. 7) for my comments below in a political correct world that would have you tarred and feathered for stating such thoughts.

Unfortunately, taxpayers could be on the hook for additional monies due to idiotic decision by city council to stick the new casino in its controversial location. Surely there must be recourse.

World population was estimated to have reached 7.6 billion as of October 2017 and is estimated to increase to 11.2 billion by year 2100. Why are we handwringing over a few witless souls who have clearly demonstrated a callous disregard for their own continued existence?

How do costs to build a dam in the Peace River country get to be in the $10 billion range? Absolutely mind boggling! What makes up the bulk of these projected costs?

Why do we continue down a path towards legalization of drugs when evidence would suggest that implementation of such a fool hardy program will be burdened with problems for the majority of citizens who don’t see a need to be a stoner?

Trudeau, like your farther, you are a silly, silly man! Your uncalled for payout of millions of dollars to Omar Khadr has opened the way for others to line up for the free money. Now we have a claimant seeking $50 million in damages. Absolutely infuriating!

An unknown author states, when you are dead you don’t know you are dead. It is the same when you are stupid. Paul Crossley, Penticton
