Christmas can be hilarious

-

A British comedy duo will offer their take on Christmas in a series of performances next month in Kelowna and Vernon.

James and Jamesy’s “O Christmas Tea” will be offered at the Vernon Performing Arts Centre on Friday, Dec. 1 and at the Mary Irwin Theatre in Kelowna on Dec. 3-4. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m.

It’s a family-friendly comedy that sees the duo and friends attempting to deal with a Christmas tea party that turns catastrophic.

The comedy duo have been touring across North America and Great Britain since 2012.

“We have new developments to make the whole family squeal with joy: dazzling costumes, floor-to-ceiling projections, new songs and choreography, and magical effects, providing more adventure and wonder than ever before,” said Aaron Malkin, who plays James.

“While awash in holiday sparkle, this show has delight enough for Santa-followers and abstainers, both.”

Alastair Knowles plays Jamesy. This year’s production maintains the joyous holiday spirit sweeping spectators into an immersive adventure, leaving them bubbling with laughter and brimming with holiday cheer," he said.

Tickets are $34 for adults, $30 for seniors and students 18 and under and $19 for children 12 and under. They can be bought at the local venue outlets or online at JamesandJamesy.com/o-christmastea.
