Still time left to sign form

-

Re: Skaha Bluffs annexation We still have a couple of days left until Nov.15 to sign the alternate approval process form.

By signing we are not saying we are an expert on all the pros and cons about this particular proposed development in Skaha Bluffs.

But, it is saying that we do not like the city’s method of obtaining our public approval. These issues could be lumped in with other issues in a referendum or election.

By not signing we have told the city to go ahead.

You can obtain forms for yourself and distribute to other friends, and print them off from the city website and Shape Your City.

PS: It's a good idea for the public (as well as the city) to have a system to record the numbers of signed forms. Perhaps via our news editor?

Hannah Hyland, Penticton too shy. Both cookies were very good, but I really liked the peanut butter one that you picked out. Peanut butter was very hard to find when I was serving in the Middle East a long time ago.

Afterwards we went for lunch at the Bear’s Den restaurant where we discovered that an anonymous lady had left money at the till with instructions to pay for the meal of any veteran who came in wearing medals. Again it was my lucky day. And the bonus prize was talking to two nice girls in pretty red dresses, ages five and seven, and their Grandma who wanted to thank me for my service. How sweet was that?

Here's a salute to some nice people who made the effort to be so kind and thoughtful. It made an old soldier's day.
