Site C must go ahead
Dear editor: Re: B.C. grapples with future of Site C hydroelectric dam, Herald, A1, Nov. 13
There is no fate, Mr. Premier Hogan.
You must decide to continue finishing off the Site C dam at an estimated $ 3.6 billion.
Allowing for inflation another $ 1.4 billion, for a total cost of completion of $5 billion. Most of the power would be sold to the western U.S. states of Washington, Oregon and California at competitive rates of the day. Power sales from the U.S. will doubIe in 10 years from customers in B.C. and the western U.S.
I suggest the B.C. government float a loan with the federal government under the Business Development Bank.
