Craft Culture fair set for next weekend

-

Kelowna’s annual Craft Culture fair will be held at Prospera Place next weekend.

The fair will feature more than 175 booths, ranging from knits and toys to jewelry and home decor.

“We aim to cater to all kinds of interests, hobbies and groups so that you can complete all your holiday shopping in one place,” said event producer Karalyn Lockhart.

“We bring out the best selection of vendors in the region to make it easy and simple for people who care about supporting local businesses and who care about how the product was made, the love and care behind it.”

Along with vendors, there will be a kids’ area with games and activities, along with virtual reality demos, colouring stations and a holiday themed photo booth.

Santa’s sleigh bus will be parked in front of Prospera Place on Dec. 10 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Families are invited to bring a donation and take a photo with Santa.

There will also be a bar set up selling beer, wine and cider along with live music from local performers.

Craft Culture will be held on Saturday, Dec. 9 from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Admission is $5 per person, and kids under 12 are free. Partial proceeds of all door sales will be donated to local charity Mamas for Mamas.

The first 50 people through the door each day will receive a swag bag.
