Peters powers Theos to blowout win over TC Auto

Norm Peters exploded for five goals to lead Theos to a 9-1 romp over TC Auto in Bad Tattoo Brewery Masters Indoor Soccer League play on Sunday at the Adidas Sportsplex.

Harry Higson, Darren Schimpf, Carlos Mendonca and Nikos Theodosaki­s, with his first of the season, also scored for the Theos, who led 4-0 at halftime.

Kevin Kothlow was the only TCA player to beat standout goalkeeper Tom McGill. Pat Vanrswyk also had a strong game in goal in a losing cause for TCA.

Zico Pescada piled up four goals and three assists to move past Kothlow into the league scoring lead as Penticton Lock and Key beat Harvey-Lister-Webb 10-4.

Alan Clarke had a hat-trick as PLK stayed perfect on the season at 5-0. Andy Burt, Dave Crompton and Gord McLaren also connected and Vlado Zamecnik notched three assists as PLK led 5-1 at halftime.

In games this Sunday, Theos faces HLW at 10 a.m., and TC Auto plays PLK at 11:20 a.m.

CAPRI INSURANCE CO-ED LEAGUE: In Round 6 action, Delicate Bulls FC and Omland Heal LLP tied 5-5, Greenwood Forest Products Calypso beat Riverside Liquor Go Bananas 7-4, and First Choice Window & Door Centre FC bested Investors Group FC 8-6.

MURRAY GM MEN’S LEAGUE: PFC clobbered The Hooligan 11-1, Black Panthers FC beat Oliver 7-4, Over-35s downed Blue Bucks FC 9-4 and Penticton Liverpools FC tied Nomads FC 5-5.
