Slow down there, weather people

Dear editor: I am just wondering, not bitching, as to why the meteorologists that forecast the weather on Global TV are in such a hurry.

Do you think they are practising to be an auctioneer, or just beating the weather pattern at the moment, as it can change in a hurry. Unless a person is about to travel, just looking out the window is the best way to predict local weather.

I wish the weather people would have just a little more time than commercials, that I suggest, take up half of a given news hour. Tom Isherwood

Olalla helping hand from governments. This bus route would be a life saver to the elderly or those who for whatever reason cannot get to the regional hospitals.

The service should be run at least every two hours, and after a three-year trial, if successful it could be extended to Salmon Arm and Enderby, etc.

And finally, while I am on a roll, why the hell are we travelling the nightmare trip to Vancouver or Calgary to get a plane to the United Kingdom or Europe? Air Transat and Air Canada never stop complaining about the high cost of landing at YVR (Vancouver international airport), why aren't they using Kelowna airport! Why are they thinking of using Abbottsford airport?
