Afull-service design, marketing, and printing business located at 130-564 Main St. in Penticton, was a proud sponsor of the 2018 Scotties Tournament of Hearts Canada Curling Championships.

Co-owners Andre Martin and Barbara Jenic attended the nine day event that brought together Canada’s best and saw Team Manitoba’s Jennifer Jones tie the legendary Colleen Jones for the all-time record with six Scotties Tournament victories. Minuteman Press in Penticton is part of the No. 1 rated system.

“To be a Silver Sponsor for the 2018 Scotties Tournament of Hearts was a real honour,” said Martin.

“Sponsoring and attending the event was a great way for Minuteman Press in Penticton to raise our profile with our business community so that people know they can come to us for a wide range of products and services. Much like the participants in the tournament, we have an experienced team in place and strive to be the champions of high quality design, printing, marketing, and customer service.”

In addition to crowning new women’s curling champions, the 2018 Scotties included entertainment and charity events including a telethon to raise money for the Sandra Schmirler Foundation, which supports babies who were born premature, or are critically ill, and also helps provide scholarship opportunities to junior curlers.

Martin worked in the newspaper industry for over 20 years. He and Jenic are active in the community and Martin is currently a member of the Penticton City Council. He also is the chair of two Peer to Peer development groups.

Because they are business owners themselves, the couple has a unique understanding of their clients.

“We understand that our customers are busy running their businesses and so we make it easy for them to purchase from us. We make sure our supply chain is the best. We are in business too and understand consistency, the value of time, and quality and value for your investment.”

As for why the business was set up in Penticton, Martin said “We really liked Minuteman Press International’s ability to provide us with the resources to create our strong supply chain, their proprietary business management software that helps us manage the business, and the fact that we were able to buy an established business that already had a local foundation.”
