Will there be a tomorrow?

-

Dear editor: I would like to give NDP leader John Horgan and Green (with envy) Andrew Weaver a way out of the Kinder Morgan mess that has placed Alberta and B.C in a fighting mode where neither wants to say “uncle.”

John and Andrew, stop the hassle, let Alberta’s Premier Rachel Notley build the slinky oil pipeline. Wish her well and good luck in the future, as they will need it.

When the inevitable Slinky oil slick occurs — it’s not if but when— sad as it will be John, your hands will be clean knowing how hard you tried to say no.

Just think Premier Horgan, you will be able to salute Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Alberta’s premier Notley, and company the fuddle duddle salute.

The entire world will be watching pictures of the devastation of the great B.C. harbour, open ocean and sea life floating dead on the surface of yet another manmade huge mistake.

Many of the inhabitants of the ocean are already on the way to extinction.

Another escape of Slinky Oil, combined with drifting fish nets, plastics and many other contaminates dumped into world waterways 24/7, will be catastrophic to our planet. Sad but the brains to be, have no consideration for the people of tomorrow. That is, if there is to be a tomorrow. Tom Isherwood
