Glengarry garners great results at Super Series finale

The Glengarry Skating Club wrapped up its 2018 winter season with three events — including the final B.C./Yukon Super Series StarSkate competitio­n of the season in Kelowna.

Glengarry had two skaters – Saki Smith and Jocelyn Erdt – place in the top three over six events during the course of the season.

The best three scores from the six are totalled to determine the placings. Smith got bronze in Star 10 and Erdt did likewise in Star 6.

Glengarry ended up with four silver medals at the competitio­n, with Erdt producing a personal-best 22.87 points to finish second in the Star 6 event.

In Star 2 girls, Noa Kan, Lindsey Neufeld and Sophia Jung earned silver medals and Leilani Sears and Deepkia Gill notched bronze medals. Other Glengarry results are as follows: Freeskate: Gold Women, Meagan Pankratz, 9th, 25.45.

Star 10 Women, Saki Smith, 4th, 30.36; Nadia Snyman, 9th, 27.46.

Star 9 Women: Nadia Snyman, 9th, 19.74; Saki Smith, 12th, 19.0. Star 7 Women: Jocelyn Erdt, 16th, 12.59 (PB). Star 6 Women: Isabelle Tuckwood, 22nd, 17.93 (PB).

Star 5 Girls 13-and-over: Alex Jung, 14th; 14.10; Rachel Jung, 19th, 13.79; Amy Slater, 20th, 13.46; Cloe Robert, 24th, 11.85.

Star 5 Girls under-13: Giselle Weisheit, 17th, 15.49. Star 4 Girls 13-and-over: Erin Hipolito, 4th. Star 4 Girls under-10: Payten Ferguson, 6th. Interpreti­ve: Gold, Isabelle Tuckwood, 8th, 38.26.
