Selfie kid reunites with Timberlake

BOSTON — The Massachuse­tts teenager who became a social media sensation after taking a selfie with Justin Timberlake during the Super Bowl halftime show got another chance to meet the pop star — and took another selfie.

Thirteen-year-old Ryan McKenna took an impromptu picture with Timberlake as the singer walked through the crowd while performing at the big game.

McKenna posted a new selfie with Timberlake on Instagram after reuniting with him at a concert in Boston on Wednesday.

McKenna got tickets to the concert during an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” a few days after the Super Bowl.

Sean Penn’s son arrested in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. — The son of Sean Penn and Robin Wright has been arrested on drug possession charges in Nebraska.

A Nebraska State Patrol spokesman says the actors’ 24year-old son, Hopper Penn, and his girlfriend, 26-year-old Uma Von Wittkamp, were arrested Wednesday afternoon after a trooper stopped their vehicle on Interstate 80.

Authoritie­s say the trooper detected drug activity inside the vehicle and found 14 grams of marijuana, four amphetamin­e pills and 3 grams of mushrooms.

Von Wittkamp was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance. Penn was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. Possession of a controlled substance is a felony.

They were both taken to the Hamilton County Jail.

Lou Diamond can’t drink for two years

SINTON, Texas — Actor Lou Diamond Phillips has been banned from drinking alcohol for two years after pleading guilty to driving while intoxicate­d in Texas.

Phillips was also sentenced to two years of probation during a court appearance Wednesday near Corpus Christi, where he grew up. Phillips must abide by other conditions, such as completing a DWI education program.

The Philippine­s-born actor had travelled from his home in California for a speaking engagement in November when he was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving.

Police said an officer suspected the 56-year-old Phillips had been drinking when he stopped to ask the officer for directions.

He later apologized for his actions, saying “it will never happen again.”

Phillips is best known for the movies “La Bamba,” “Stand and Deliver,” and “Young Guns.”

Les Miserables goes viral

FRUIT HEIGHTS, Utah — Response to a Utah family’s rendition of a song from the long—running musical “Les Miserables” is growing on Facebook.

Jayson LeBaron says his family had gathered for Easter when his mother asked them to sing “One Day More” from the musical set in 19th—century France. The five siblings and their spouses each sang the characters’ roles.

The video had more than 1.1 million views as of Thursday afternoon.

LeBaron tells KUTV—TV the family grew up singing together and married musically talented people. He says music has been a “unifying thing” for the family in good and bad times.

The family is surprised by the reaction.

Gracelands opens up the Elvis vaults

NASHVILLE — A new television documentar­y about Elvis Presley takes advantage of the vast collection of footage, pictures, documents and music from his estate to give a behind-the-scenes look at the king of rock ‘n’ roll.

“Elvis Presley: The Searcher,” a two-part, three-hour documentar­y, will premiere April 14 on HBO. Director Thom Zimny had full access to Graceland’s vault and made ample use of it to unearth little-seen footage.

The film also features new interviews with studio musicians, producers, engineers and directors, as well as artists like Bruce Springstee­n, Tom Petty and Emmylou Harris.

Priscilla Presley, who is an executive producer on the film, says there’s still a lot for fans to learn about the star, even decades after his death.
