You forgot one: Davis Cup play-off, 2011, when Vasek Pospisil of Vernon nearly single-handedly took Canada into the World Group of tennis by winning both his singles matches – including the deciding fifth rubber – and the doubles to lead Canada to a 3-2 win over Israel.

Canadian tennis hasn’t looked back, remaining in the World Group ever since.

Vasek also won the Wimbledon doubles title in 2015. Doug Holmes Summerland
