Great anticipation for 2018 Electronic Entertainment Expo

- SASCHA HEIST

It is that time of year, the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, where gamers from around the globe can see what the different developers are releasing for the upcoming year. Next week will be the ultimate showcase on what great titles are coming up.

Microsoft hopefully has a ton of new content to show its gamers. We really don’t have any firstparty titles that we know to launch this year other then “Crackdown 3.” Even with “Crackdown 3,” we haven’t heard anything new since last year as to the status of the game.

A great surprise would be if Crackdown 3 would launch shortly after E3 this year. A new “Gears of War” or “Halo” would be a great showing, but we need something in the way of an allnew title. With “Scalebound” cancelled, we really need something jaw-dropping to be shown.

Sony likely will show a sequel to the “Last of Us,” other then that Sony’s conference is all up in the air also.

We did get a tease from Bethesda about a new “Fallout” title and “Rage 2.” We know nothing about either game, really, so E3 should showcase more details about both titles.

This should be one of the best E3’s ever. Look for all the top news from all the console manufactures and developers in next week’s column.

Penticton’s second annual Penti-Con will be held today and Sunday at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre.
