RCMP putting out ‘grass’ fires

-

Police are once again playing hard ball with local marijuana dispensaries. Penticton RCMP spokesman James Grandy said members of the Targeted Enforcement Unit paid a visit Monday to Green Essence on Martin Avenue and suggested their patience had run out.

“Officers warned the owner that should they continue to sell illegal marijuana, there may be enforcement action taken.” It’s not the first time police have talked tough with local pot shops. Mounties in March 2017 delivered a letter containing similar language to local dispensaries, but nothing came of it.

The visit to Green Essence comes two weeks after police raided the Herbal Green dispensary in Okanagan Falls.
