Summerland public hearing postponed

-

A public hearing on bylaw amendments regarding carriage houses and secondary suites scheduled for Monday’s meeting of Summerland council was postponed.

Staff recommended postponement because of possible conflict with Okanagan Water Basin Board policy.

The proposed bylaw amendments would clarify servicing and height restrictions for carriage houses, permit secondary suites on land zoned A2 agricultural large acreage and FG-forest grazing, and permit carriage houses on properties zoned FG, except where located within the ALR.

Following staff’s detailed examination of the water board’s policy, changes may need to be made to the proposed bylaw amendments, Kondor said.
