Bowes’ goals garnering donation towards haircut and for cancer research

-

Neil Jamieson and Underwriters Insurance in Penticton have generously committed to donating $92 per goal that Penticton Vees centre Cassidy Bowes scores during the 2018-19 BCHL season to his GoFundMe campaign.

The campaign, started by the 19-year-old Bowes in August, is raising money for children’s cancer research as Bowes continues to grow out his hair.

Once Bowes reaches his goal of $9,292, he will cut his hair and donate it to help make wigs.

“We have decided to donate $92 per goal in reference to Cassidy’s jersey number,” Jamieson said.

As of Oct. 9, Bowes has raised $2,490 from 23 donors.
