Golf carts not ideal for winter

-

Dear editor: Much as I look forward to letters submitted by Joe Schwarz, I had to chuckle at his idea of using golf carts in your fair city (Herald, Oct. 16)

Tourists could park their rigs and vehicles on a designated lot just out of town for a fee, rent a golf cart for a fee, temporally switch insurance to golf cart, yell fore and move forward.

Golf cart may be a little crowded with family of four plus a baby? Winter time may be another slight problem with no closed cover, heater or wiper blades.

Maybe bring back the horse or perhaps give the rickshaw a try as manpower and horsepower are proven modes of transportation – hay Joe? Tom Isherwood
