DuffleBag Theatre set to perform “Twas the Night Before Christmas” Sunday at Centre Stage Theatre

-

Children’s Showcase is pleased to present “Twas the Night Before Christmas” by Canada’s beloved DuffleBag Theatre on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Centre Stage Theatre in Summerland.

Goofy antics and witty story twists abound in a hilarious reworking of the classic poem. Everyone can’t wait for Santa’s arrival on Christmas Eve, but somewhere along the line, the jolly old elf seems to have mislaid his sack of presents.

What’s worse is that Old Man Winter is determined to stop him! Will Christmas have to be cancelled? Not if Mrs. Claus, the reindeer and volunteer members of the audience can help save the day!

“DuffleBag Theatre are incredibly talented storytellers and their shows are filled with interactive antics that everyone will enjoy,” says Children’s Showcase organizer Melanie Walden.

“We are thrilled to have them back to the Okanagan. Their shows are so much fun!”

Based in Toronto, DuffleBag Theatre was formed in 1992 and performs over 600 shows a year, travelling across Canada, the U.S., and internationally.

Single tickets for Twas the Night Before Christmas are $12 and are available in advance at Tumbleweed Gallery, Penticton Arts Council office, Penticton Art Gallery, Oliver Veterinary Hospital, The Beanery (Summerland) or online at Eventbrite. Tickets also available at the door.
