Thank you for the privilege of elected public service!
On Monday June 22 I was in Victoria as parliament resumed for a summer session. I recognize that the current pandemic has greatly impacted many of you and I hope this note finds you well physically, mentally, and financially. Like all lines of work, COVID-19 has severely changed how I serve as your MLA. Of course, all in-person visits hac to be cancelled, but thanks to the fantastic work of my Constituency Assistants, Katja and Heather, our office underwent a seamless transition onto our virtual platforms. We maintained office hours and continued to engage with constituents and stakeholders through online information hubs, video chats and phone calls. Amidst all this, I recently celebrated my 20th year as an elected official, serving in both municipal and provincial offices. I cannot thank enough the countless staff and volunteers who have helped me serve to the best of my capacity. Most of all, I would like to thank everyone who has and continues to put their faith in me throughout these years. As I prepare for another session, I will continue to remain engaged with our community as much as possible so that Kelowna and Lake Country remain key players in our province's recovery. Usually I would meet many of you year around at social and other gatherings but those have been severely limited. So I would like to invite you to gather with me and my colleagues Steve Thomson and Ben Stewart virtually on July 2'd at 6:30pm for an hour. Let's hear what's on your mind and how we can work together to improve your life. To register for this virtual gathering please go to www.teamokanaaan.com.
Thank you and stay safe.
Norm Letnick, MLA
