CHRIS PINE’S TOP 10 MOVIES

- BY JAY BOBBIN

“Wonder Woman” (2017): Pine makes an ideal Steve Trevor to Gal Gadot’s Amazonian title character – and he reprised his part in “Wonder Woman 1984.”

“Hell or High Water” (2016):

A first-rate Pine plays one of two brothers who turn to crime – attracting a Texas Ranger’s (Jeff Bridges) attention – to save their family’s ranch.

“Into the Woods” (2014): Harking back to his “Princess Diaries” screen roots, Pine is perfectly cast as the prince to Cinderella (Anna Kendrick) in this version of the hit stage musical.

“Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit” (2014): Pine makes a fine action hero in the screen reboot of Tom Clancy’s CIA analyst, who tries to stop a foreign plot against Wall Street.

“People Like Us” (2012): Minus action frills, Pine does fine, emotional work as a man who meets the sister (Elizabeth Banks) he never knew he had.

“This Means War” (2012): Pine and Tom Hardy are engaging as CIA agents who amp up their spy game while competing for the same woman (Reese Witherspoon).

“Unstoppable” (2010): Denzel Washington is a heady acting match, and Pine fares well opposite him in director Tony Scott’s tale of two trainmen trying to stop a runaway locomotive.

“Small Town Saturday Night” (2010): One of Pine’s lower-budget efforts yields one of his most enjoyable performances, as he plays an aspiring country star trying to handle a troubled romance.

“Star Trek” (2009): The boots of enterprising spaceman James Kirk are not easy for a young actor to fill, and it’s much to Pine’s credit that he’s a believable forerunner to the iconic William Shatner.

“The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement” (2004): Pine makes an appealing love interest for returnee Anne

Hathaway’s Princess Mia.
