AU­GUST 3 — BUF­FALO

Buf­falo Coun­try Fair at the com­mu­nity hall. En­tries for the fair will be taken Thurs­day from 6-8:30 p.m. and Fri­day from 8-10 a.m. Judg­ing takes place Fri­day at 1 p.m. The fair will be open to the pub­lic at 4 p.m., with sup­per to fol­low at 5:30 and en­ter­tain­ment tak­ing place af­ter the awards.

AU­GUST 3-5 — SWIFT CUR­RENT

Liv­ing Sky Casino and Dr. No­ble Irwin Re­gional Health­care Foun­da­tion are pleased to host Swift Cur­rent’s firstever out­door RIBFEST, Au­gust 3 – 5, 2018. The RIBFEST will be held in the Liv­ing Sky Casino park­ing lot and is a fam­ily friendly event fea­tur­ing world class rib cham­pi­ons. The rib­bers will be serv­ing up a va­ri­ety of south­ern­style bar­beque items in­clud­ing ribs, brisket and chicken. Live en­ter­tain­ment in­cludes Me­gan Nash, League of Wolves, Rock­ing 58’s, Bak­ers­field, Bears in Hazen­more, Orel Fuentes and the Steve Gib­son Band. Fri­day, Au­gust 3 : 4 – 9 p.m.; Satur­day, Au­gust 4: noon – 9 p. m.; Sun­day, Au­gust 5: noon – 8: p.m.

AU­GUST 3-6 — SASK. LAND­ING PARK

The Cana­dian Res­cue Hover­craft Pi­lots As­so­ci­a­tion will host the first ever Great Cana­dian Hover Rally Au­gust 3rd to 6th. Ac­tiv­i­ties and demon­stra­tions will held in Swift Cur­rent and Sask Land­ing Pro­vin­cial Park. Par­tic­i­pants will in­clude home­built, com­mer­cial and busi­ness hov­er­crafts. AU­GUST 3-4 — BOW IS­LAND

Bow Is­land Ag So­ci­ety Rodeo. The event is Chi­nook Rodeo As­so­ci­a­tion co-ap­proved with CCA and FCA. The ac­tion starts at 6 p.m. on Fri­day, Aug. 3 and at 1 p.m. on Satur­day, Aug. 4. Satur­days ac­tion will in­clude mut­ton bustin' for kids 7 and un­der. There will also be mini bronc rid­ing, with lim­ited space avail­able for en­tries. Gate ad­mis­sion is $10/adults and $5/child, five years old and un­der are free.

Mar­ket Square: See what’s hap­pen­ing at Mar­ket Square, Swift Cur­rent’s events area down­town at the cor­ner of Cen­tral Av­enue and Chap­lin Street from 9: 30 a. m. - 2: 30 p. m. Mar­ket Square fea­tures mul­ti­ple ven­dors sell­ing prod­ucts along­side pro­fes­sional and am­a­teur en­ter­tain­ers. Ad­mis­sion is free. Ven­dors and en­ter­tain­ers in­ter­ested in par­tic­i­pat­ing can ap­ply by con­tact­ing Mar­lene John­son at 306-778-1673.

AU­GUST 5 — ETZIKOM

Come out to the Etzikom Mu­seum to cel­e­brate Her­itage Day. There will be live mu­sic and danc­ing, games and ac­tiv­i­ties, photo booth, free re­fresh­ments, ball game - scrub for all ages. The event starts at 11 a. m. Hosted by the Etzikom Mu­seum and Cana­dian Historic Wind­mill In­ter­pre­tive Cen­tre.
