AUGUST 3 — BUFFALO
Buffalo Country Fair at the community hall. Entries for the fair will be taken Thursday from 6-8:30 p.m. and Friday from 8-10 a.m. Judging takes place Friday at 1 p.m. The fair will be open to the public at 4 p.m., with supper to follow at 5:30 and entertainment taking place after the awards.
AUGUST 3-5 — SWIFT CURRENT
Living Sky Casino and Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation are pleased to host Swift Current’s firstever outdoor RIBFEST, August 3 – 5, 2018. The RIBFEST will be held in the Living Sky Casino parking lot and is a family friendly event featuring world class rib champions. The ribbers will be serving up a variety of southernstyle barbeque items including ribs, brisket and chicken. Live entertainment includes Megan Nash, League of Wolves, Rocking 58’s, Bakersfield, Bears in Hazenmore, Orel Fuentes and the Steve Gibson Band. Friday, August 3 : 4 – 9 p.m.; Saturday, August 4: noon – 9 p. m.; Sunday, August 5: noon – 8: p.m.
AUGUST 3-6 — SASK. LANDING PARK
The Canadian Rescue Hovercraft Pilots Association will host the first ever Great Canadian Hover Rally August 3rd to 6th. Activities and demonstrations will held in Swift Current and Sask Landing Provincial Park. Participants will include homebuilt, commercial and business hovercrafts. AUGUST 3-4 — BOW ISLAND
Bow Island Ag Society Rodeo. The event is Chinook Rodeo Association co-approved with CCA and FCA. The action starts at 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 3 and at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 4. Saturdays action will include mutton bustin' for kids 7 and under. There will also be mini bronc riding, with limited space available for entries. Gate admission is $10/adults and $5/child, five years old and under are free.
AUGUST 4 — SWIFT CURRENT
Market Square: See what’s happening at Market Square, Swift Current’s events area downtown at the corner of Central Avenue and Chaplin Street from 9: 30 a. m. - 2: 30 p. m. Market Square features multiple vendors selling products alongside professional and amateur entertainers. Admission is free. AUGUST 5 — ETZIKOM
Come out to the Etzikom Museum to celebrate Heritage Day. There will be live music and dancing, games and activities, photo booth, free refreshments, ball game - scrub for all ages. The event starts at 11 a. m. Hosted by the Etzikom Museum and Canadian Historic Windmill Interpretive Centre.
