Festive shopping event a little early.
In Regina, Christmas is coming early this year ― out of necessity ― to work around Grey Cup festivities. Among the events bumped ahead is the Our Best To You art and craft sale, which will be held Nov. 1 to 3 in Canada Centre East at Evraz Place. Traditionally, the event, which transforms the venue into a festive marketplace for handmade Canadian creations, is held about a week later. But this year, the Canadian Western Agribition will be housed in Evraz Place at that time, running from Nov. 11 to 16.
While the date may have changed slightly, the focus of Our Best To You hasn’t. For three days, the work of more than 200 Canadian artists, artisans and designers will be showcased.
Handmade creations being featured include fashions, ceramics, glass, jewelry, art, sculpture, leather works, unique home decor items, gourmet goodies and stocking stuffers.
Now in its 21st year in Regina, new exhibitors are added to the show every year, and many of the popular favourites return, including hot glass giftware by Berting Glass, fruitcakes, puddings and sauces by Patti Cakes, and architectural jewelry by Christophe Poly.
Admission is $5 for adults, and $4 for seniors and youth. Free re-entry passes are available at the show. Doors open at 10 a.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The show runs until 9 p.m. Friday, 6 p.m. Saturday and 5 p.m. Sunday.
