Mannequin Gabriel Aubry finds work

- DOUG CAMILLI

Gabriel Aubry, once a Montrealer married to Halle Berry and now a Californian bitterly divorced from her, has found a job. WWD says he’ll be featured with German model Heidi Klum in upcoming ads for Macy’s, the U.S. department store.

This is good news, because until now Gabe has been living mainly on the $16,000 U.S. a month Halle pays to support their little Nahla, under a shared-custody deal.

You recall the backstory: Gabe fought her plan to move to France with her new love Olivier Martinez; she accused Gabe of trying to raise the girl as white by straightening and streaking her hair; he and Ollie had a fist fight; she applied to cut support to $3,000 a month because he was sponging; etc.

Nahla is 6. Surviving dead: Jerry Garcia was dead, to begin with. So we can’t know if he’s grateful for the career opportunity he’s being given: He’ll be on stage, as a hologram, in two Grateful Dead shows this July, one in New York and one in San Francisco.

You’ll recall the Tupac Shakur hologram thing at Coachella in 2012. Well, surviving members of the Dead have decided to follow that example. Garcia a.k.a. Captain Trips, the band’s main man, died in 1995 at age 53. Nobody for Stevie: It’s not easy to get into dating, Stevie Nicks tells Rolling Stone.

First, no older men. “What if I fall in love with somebody and they die?” And men her age — she’s 66, amazingly — “wanna go out with somebody that’s 25.”

She tried younger guys, in the 1990s, but that didn’t work either, apparently because she’s too famous to go out anywhere, or something.

At least she’s logical: “I’ve narrowed it down to nobody.” Going up?: Once again, the jackboot of the state grinds the faces of the poor: Dursun Ali Sahin, governor of Edirne province in western Turkey, has issued a new edict, the BBC reports: if you work or have business on the second or third floor of a public building, you must now walk up, not take the elevator. Old folks’ homes are exempt.

Sahin plans to extend the ban to private apartment buildings, too. The idea, he says, is “to promote better health. Moreover, it will help to cut energy costs.”

This is the same guy who forbade restaurants to serve a second lump of sugar with tea. Creating love on a ukulele: Meghan Trainor and Harry Styles: meant to be together? The British tabloid the Sun reported that Trainor, the one-hit wonder to blame for All About That Bass, is working on a love song with Styles, who’s in the boy band I like to call One Dimension.

This ditty is called Somed ay Maybe, a giggly Meghan told the Sun . “It’s real! It’s a duet. It’s a beautiful song we wrote together on my ukulele. We even recorded a rough demo together with our vocals together. It’s a cute acoustic love thing.”

She’s 21. He’s 20.
