Trio arrested after police raid uncovers guns
Three men were arrested after police seized three guns during a SWAT call at a Regina home on Thursday.
Ammunition and a small amount of illegal drugs were also found in the home, located on the 900 block of Argyle Street. Police carried out the search warrant at approximately 4:30 p.m. A 24-year-old man, 28-year-old man and 31-yearold man are now facing a number of weapons charges.
Investigations had information about weapons and drugs being in the residence. Police then authorized the SWAT team to assist patrol and canine unit members in clearing the home of weapons.
The 24-year-old was charged with possession of a weapon, four charges of fail to comply with recognizance, flight while pursued by peace officer, possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition, three charges of possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, three charges of possession of a firearm, prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime and four charges of possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order.
The 28-year-old was charged with possession of a weapon, two charges of fail to comply with recognizance, three charges of possession of firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, three charges of careless use of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition, three charges of possession of a firearm, prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime and three charges of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order.
The 31-year-old’s charges included possession of a weapon, three charges of unauthorized possession of a firearm, three charges of careless use of a firearm, weapon prohibited device or ammunition and three charges of possession of a firearm.
