Getting into the season

The Regina German Club is holding its “Christkind­l Markt, a traditiona­l German Christmas market on Sat., Nov. 25, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

It will be in the courtyard and hall at the German Club, 1727 St. John St.

Vendors are selling sweet treats, handmade items, gifts and more.

There’s also a craft table for children.

The Regina Floral Conservato­ry has extended its hours during the holiday season.

Located at 1450 4th Ave., the conservato­ry is open from 1 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 5, 6, 14, 19 and 20.

Apple cider will be served at no charge.

There is also a winter wonderland display to get visitors into the holiday spirit.

Scott Woods and Band will be featured at Old Time Christmas at Heritage United Church, 1050N Arnason St. on Monday, Nov. 27, at 7 p.m.

The special event will include seasonal, traditiona­l and country songs, as well as step dancing and more.

The annual Christmas Market & Children’s Shopping Spree will be held at Wesley United Church, 3913 Hillsdale St., on Saturday, Nov. 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The market includes Christmas baking, preserves, crafts, toys and a boutique.

Lunch is available for purchase.

Children can use their loonies and toonies to get all their Christmas gifts purchased and wrapped at the kids-only shopping spree.

Entry cost is $3, with children under 10 free.

The Fibre & Finery annual arts sale will be held Nov. 25, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Seniors Centre, 2404 Elphinston­e St. (at College Ave.)

It features original designed gifts and accessorie­s, including traditiona­l and high-fashion knitting, items from upcycled kimono silk, beaded jewelry, sewn bags of all types, weaving, spinning, leatherbou­nd journals and more.
