Roster set for All-Star Celebrity Classic
Four members of the Hockey Hall of Fame — Clark Gillies, Bryan Trottier, Mark Howe and Scott Niedermayer — are to play in the Regina Pats Centennial Salute AllStar Celebrity Classic on Feb. 17.
Gillies is one of 11 Pats alumni on the roster. The others are Barret Jackman, Dale Derkatch, Ed Staniowski, Garth Butcher, Jamie Heward, Mike Sillinger, Mark Janssens, Gary Leeman, Stu Grimson and Jock Callander.
Also scheduled to take part are former NHL players Dave (Tiger) Williams, Wendel Clark, Brian Sutter, Darryl Sutter, Brian Propp, Brian Skrudland, Cliff Ronning, Curtis Leschyshyn, Darcy Tucker, Eric Brewer, Glen Wesley, Jarret Stoll, Rich Pilon, Rob DiMaio, Sheldon Souray, Derek Dorsett, Clarke Wilm, Colby Armstrong, Geoff Courtnall, Kelly Chase, Mike Keane, Pat Elynuik, Rob Brown, Rob Niedermayer and Tim Cheveldae.
“We are really excited for this star-studded lineup,” Pats chief operating officer Stacey Cattell said in a media release. “This game will be a great day of celebrating 100 years of hockey in Regina.”
The game is to begin at 3 p.m., at the Brandt Centre.
The Pats are auctioning off opportunities to step on the ice with the NHL alumni. Two people will be treated like the alumni and be incorporated into everything they do.

The All-Star Celebrity Classic is part of the Pats’ Homecoming Weekend, which will also include a Feb. 18 WHL game between the Pats and Moose Jaw Warriors (2 p.m., Brandt Centre). The festivities will be part of Rogers Hometown Hockey.
Homecoming Weekend will also include the inaugural Regina Pats Community Foundation Honours Dinner and Auction, slated for Feb. 16.
