Sask. Hockey Hall of Fame to salute inductees in July

The Saskatchew­an Hockey Hall of Fame has announced its inductees for 2018.

Hayley Wickenheis­er, Bill Hicke and Ron Delorme are to be inducted as players.

Kelly Lovering will enter the Hall as a builder.

Lyle Wilhelm is to be recognized as an official.

The grassroots inductees will be Larry Johnson and Dennis Loeppky.

In the team category, the 1987-88 Notre Dame Hounds (SJHL) will be recognized.

Hicke, Lovering and Loeppky are to be inducted posthumous­ly.

The induction dinner is set for July 7 in Swift Current. The Regina Pat Canadians are to play host to the Saskatoon Contacts on Tuesday in Saskatchew­an Midget AAA Hockey League action.

The game is set for 8 p.m., at the Co-operators Centre.

His time of two minutes 4.03 seconds put him slightly more than six seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.

Brody Willms of the Moose Jaw Warriors is the WHL’s goaltender of the week.

He registered a shutout in each of his starts, stopping all 35 shots he faced over 120 minutes.
