44 years of the Fransaskois cultural council
Saskatchewan francophone talent is being continually developed through training, workshops, competitions such as Nouvelle Scène. Francophone artists are appreciated beyond the sphere of the Fransaskois community through collaborations with organizations such as Festival international de la chanson de Granby (QC) and the Regina Folk Festival. Here are three emerging Fransaskois artists you just might meet at the Festival Fête fransaskoise in Pike Lake next July.

Multi-instrumentalist Mario Lepage has been spending his last few years writing, performing, and amassing a collection of new sounds that influence his music. He is now performing with his new band Ponteix.

Shawn Jobin
shaw-jobin.squarespace.com Words and rhymes have no secrets for Shawn Jobin. He aligns and plays with them in rap, expressing a large range of social concerns. In 2017, he got the chance to be chosen as one of the seven Canadians sharing uplifting stories in an exhibition for Canada 150 in the Canadian museum of Human Rights.
