Saskatchew­an francophon­e talent is being continuall­y developed through training, workshops, competitio­ns such as Nouvelle Scène. Francophon­e artists are appreciate­d beyond the sphere of the Fransaskoi­s community through collaborat­ions with organizati­ons such as Festival internatio­nal de la chanson de Granby (QC) and the Regina Folk Festival. Here are three emerging Fransaskoi­s artists you just might meet at the Festival Fête fransaskoi­se in Pike Lake next July.

Multi-instrument­alist Mario Lepage has been spending his last few years writing, performing, and amassing a collection of new sounds that influence his music. He is now performing with his new band Ponteix.

Shawn Jobin

In 2017, he got the chance to be chosen as one of the seven Canadians sharing uplifting stories in an exhibition for Canada 150 in the Canadian museum of Human Rights.
