Another man is facing seven counts of attempted murder in relation to a November incident in which several people suffered gunshot wounds or injuries from bladed weapons.

Tyrone Lane Eagle, 20, made his first appearance at Regina provincial court on Monday morning, accused of four counts of attempted murder, three counts of attempted murder using a firearm and one count of break, enter and commit theft.

The charges relate to an incident reported to the Regina Police Service on Nov. 17 when, at 3:42 a.m., police were called to a house on the 600 block of Montague Street for a report that people inside had been seriously injured.

Police initially found two men and a woman inside the home suffering from injuries, some of which appeared to be from gunshot wounds and others from a bladed weapon. Police tended to them until EMS arrived.

As the investigation progressed, police located a fourth complainant, a man, a few hours later. Police then found three more complainants — two men and a woman — said to have been injured during the same event, but who had left before police arrived.

The investigation led to the arrest of two suspects — a 23-yearold man and a 17-year-old boy — approximately a month later, the adult on Dec. 14 and the youth on Dec. 20. Nygel Ryan Reid Shingoose and the youth — who cannot be named under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act — face the same charges as Eagle nowdoes.

Following the December arrests, police continued their investigation which led, on Saturday evening, to Eagle’s arrest.

The Crown opposed Eagle’s release and his charges were set to later this week. He will talk to a lawyer in the meantime.
