Investigation continues in Broncos bus crash
Dozens of interviews have been conducted and vehicle computer data is being analyzed as RCMP continue to investigate the Humboldt Broncos bus crash.
RCMP “continue to dedicate significant resources to ensure a thorough investigation. Investigations such as this can take significant time; however we have dedicated the necessary resources to ensure this investigation can be done as expediently as possible,” police said in a statement.
The collision took place Friday around 5 p.m. on Highway 35 as the Broncos travelled to Nipawin from Humboldt for a game against the Nipawin Hawks. Of the 29 people on the bus, 16 died — including trainer Dayna Brons on Wednesday — and 13 were injured.

Here are those announced Wednesday:
A celebration of life is set for Jacob Leicht, 19, on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Elgar Petersen Arena in Humboldt. According to an obituary, “in honour of Jacob, you are invited to wear your hockey jersey or the colour green. Bring your horns and noisemakers for the final farewell at the end of the service.”
A celebration of life is scheduled for Logan Schatz, 20, at the Allan Communiplex on Sunday at 1 p.m.
A funeral is being held for Brody Hinz, the 18-year-old Broncos’ statistician, at the Humboldt Catholic Church on Saturday at 10 a.m.
A funeral for radio broadcaster Tyler Bieber, 29, is scheduled for Thursday at 10 a.m. at Elgar Petersen Arena.
A memorial is scheduled for Connor Lukan, 21, on Wednesday at Grant Fuhr Arena in Spruce Grove, Alta.
A memorial is scheduled for head coach Darcy Haugan on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Elgar Petersen Arena.
A memorial is scheduled for bus driver Glen Doerksen, 59, on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Carrot River Community Hall.
