ARIES stay cocooned (March 21-April in your 19). own You private you’d miss. drama: The world There’s won’t too come much to you. bubble You’ll and have find what’s to break worth out of getting your into.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You encourage their choosing others even along when the you’re path not of into quite it, agree don’t with understand it. This it or is don’t love. And it’s why your relationships stay strong (and interesting!).

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Today will play out a bit like a suspense/ thriller. It’s not that you think the best is yet to come. You just want to see how it turns out. And you’ll have excellent company in this fascination with what’s next. CANCER (June 22-July 22). So you care, just a little, what they think... so what? It’s only smart to actively try to influence people’s impressions of you. As much as you’d like it not to matter, it does. Most of the work will center on dress and deportment.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). The quickest way to end an argument is to lose it. “Sorry, my bad” lets the air out of the tires of the argument and may land on extremely satisfied ears. You could also pivot and walk, but it won’t be the end, just a pause in the middle.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). The schoolyard rules of love still apply. The one who is trying to get your attention likes you. The quality of attention they draw out matters little. They may seek to irritate you because that’s what they know best. Still, they like you.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Take things out of the social media realm and into the real world, where it’s people relating to people, and the need to impress or persuade is trumped by the need to understand and be understood. SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). A burden will be lifted in the next four weeks. Giving credit where credit is due will bring luck. Often this will involve honoring the spiritual aspects of your life and the many ways love shows up in your world.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).

People are always deciding things about one another -- even perfect strangers. There’s no getting around it: They are making their impressions of you.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19).

One way is to set a goal, attain it then reward yourself. Skip that last part, and what’s the point? If you’re going to skip something, skip the first part and just celebrate yourself. Maybe you shouldn’t always have to work for it. AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18).

Are you where you are because of (SET ITAL)who(END ITAL) you are? You know you’re moving in the patterns that work for your current story of yourself, and yet you’re also struggling to emerge, to establish a different pattern and a new story.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). The ones who ask for things without first ingratiating themselves, building rapport with you or letting you know what might be in it for you -- don’t waste your time with them. You’re too valuable for that.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (April 21). Though you’re striving to need and use less, somehow cutbacks only make you richer this year -that is to say, richer in what really matters. You’ll see more of the world. Relationships will go in an interesting direction, one that invites you to hone your talents and take them in a more public and lucrative direction. Aries and Sagittarius adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 5, 39, 22, 9 and 12. ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS:

“I was all fired up to become a manicurist, and I borrowed money from my parents to go to a beauty school. I learned the trade and did nails for a few clients at the school, but the truth is that I don’t want to pursue it anymore. It’s just not what I thought it would be like. Now my parents are mad at me and expecting that I land a job so that I can pay them back, and I really don’t even want to. What should a Sagittarius do?”

Your enthusiasm is a strength that you can apply to overcome many of life’s challenges. But you do not always have to feel excited about a situation in order to follow through and commit yourself. There are other virtues, such as loyalty, responsibility and duty to consider. Allow these virtues to lead you to dig deep inside yourself to solve the problem of how you’re going to pay your parents back. Life isn’t always about finding the perfect fit for making your life fun and entertaining for you. In the end, your contribution to others is ultimately what will fulfill you the most. CELEBRITY PROFILES: The reign of Elizabeth II, queen of the United Kingdom, is the longest in British history. The graceful queen has been in service to her country as the supreme governor of the Church of England for 65 years. Taurus is known for tenacity and longevity. Her natal moon and Neptune, both in Leo, signify creative flair, a penchant for pomp and circumstance and a love of children.

SUNDAY, APRIL 22, 2018 Pluto Retrograde

The wolf at the door, an age-old image immortalized in everything from the fairy tale of the three little pigs to a Radiohead song, is the theme of this Pluto retrograde. We’re reminded of what’s important and the basics that keep the wolves at bay. All good fortune beyond this is a blessing to be counted and shared.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). You can’t add water to a full cup, and you won’t get anything new flowing through your life until you pour out some of the old stuff. Being open to receive new stuff will start with making room for it. TAURUS (April 20-May 20).

If you don’t know what to say, you’re in a good place. It means you’re recognizing the need for discernment. People get in trouble for overusing their lips, not for overusing their ears. GEMINI (May 21-June 21).

Can you love the art and hate the artist? Hate is too strong a word, but certainly people whose work you admire have done things you really don’t, making you grapple with some conflicting feelings. CANCER (June 22-July 22).

Some say, “Don’t dumb it down.” Others say, “Give it to me as if you were teaching a 5-year-old.” The better you understand a thing the more simply you can explain it. LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). What

would you have to be doing to tell yourself that you’re doing great? More than likely, this is really about feeling rather than doing. And feeling great will have to do with dropping a few judgments that are holding you back. VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). You want to be involved in someone’s life without fostering a situation that feels heavy to you. Whatever you do, do it for you -- because you want to and because it energizes you to give. LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Once you get into a lot of “always” and “never” rules, some of the art goes out the window. Though there are definitely things to “always” and “never” do, most of life happens in the colorful in-between. SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). It’s as if you’re in charge of the burner of your life, and when you want to bring things down to a simmer, all you have to do is turn it all down. This is how you avoid getting burned. SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).

People generally say “can we talk?”

when it’s about something significant and potentially unpleasant. You want to talk when there’s nothing wrong, and that’s a lot more fun. CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Research is excellent when you have the time, but it can also be a procrastination tactic. Be honest with yourself. Do you already have enough information to go on? Dive in. Get busy. AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). It’s really never too late for a new beginning. You don’t even have to wait for the sun to go down. Tomorrow is new, obviously -- but so is an hour from now. So is a breath from now. PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Decisions have a way of clarifying everything. You make up your mind and then put it to rest. This is mostly between you and you. Your life has to feel good to you on the inside for you to take effective action. TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (April 22). You’ll wrangle your habits into line this year. Like the ocean waves that beat cliffs into sand, persistent efforts will change the landscape of your life. You will accept reward for an achievement made possible by consistent movement. The events of June and September have to do with growing your capacity to love. Leo and Virgo adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 6, 22, 2, 18 and 36. FORECAST FOR THE WEEK

AHEAD: The first full week of the sun’s journey through Taurus, the sign of money, is a time when we notice anew the value of things. It should be noted that “price” and “value” are often used as interchangeable terms when in fact they are not the same thing at all. The price of a thing is the assigned amount of currency necessary to release its ownership. The price often involves what it costs to make a thing and position it for sale. However, savvy merchants know not to set their price based on how much it costs to produce and deliver an item. Rather, the price should be set at what people will pay -- that is, the value of the thing.

Many things in life are difficult and costly to produce yet are not valued by customers and are therefore priced low. On the other side, many things people want do not cost much to produce but have a high price tag and are therefore more desirable. In either case, recognizing the key role of perception is the key to success in the marketplace.

Of course, the best things in life really are impossible to sum up in financial terms, though many will try during this first week of the Taurus sun. CELEBRITY PROFILES:

He has been nominated 12 times for Academy Awards and has won the Oscar three times. Jack Nicholson is an icon of “cool.” This treasure of American cinema has legendary charm. His anti-authority air is reflected in his natal chart -- with the sun, Mercury and Uranus in stubborn, independent Taurus. His having Venus in Aries indicates a fiery, passionate approach to anything he loves (or hates!).
