Memorial Cup single-game tickets go on sale

A limited number of single-game tickets are to be available Friday at 10 a.m. for the 2018 Memorial Cup, which runs May 18-27 at the Brandt Centre.

Selected seats in sections 200203, 223, 105-108 and 115-119 for games featuring the host Regina Pats are $85 and $65 for all nonPats games.

Remaining regular-bowl seats are $93 for Pats games and $75 for non-Pats games. Group and corporate seating for 10 or more in the regular bowl is $75 per ticket for Pats games and $65 for games not featuring the Pats. Group tickets for the championsh­ip weekend games are $100.

Hockey fans can reserve individual seats for the championsh­ip weekend for $137 each. All ticket prices include taxes and fees.

Bret Dundas earned the pitching decision over Hallie Luther.

In Wednesday’s other games, it was: Diamondbac­ks 19, Dakota Winyan 3; Lumsden U19s 15, Ochapowace 0; and, Bomb Squad 13, Piapot 6.

The best-of-seven Anavet Cup series is tied 2-2 heading into Friday’s game at Nipawin’s Centennial Arena.

The Nipawin Hawks, champions of the SJHL, evened the series Wednesday by defeating the visiting Steinbach (Man.) Pistons 5-2. The night before, Steinbach (MJHL) won 6-2 in Nipawin.

The winner of the series advances to the RBC Cup, which is set for May 12-20 in Chilliwack, B.C.
