1936
Barlow Agencies is founded in Regina by Garnet Barlow, offering personalized professional insurance services.
1939
Russell Barlow, Gars son, joins Barlow Agencies, continuing the tradition of offering personalized insurance service. Russell became one of the first two insurance brokers in the proveince to attain the C.I.B. (Sask) designation.
1967
The Barlows grow their Business through a partnership with insurance broker Joe Lang, opening Barlow & Lang Insurance.
1969
Bill Barlow, Russell’s son, joins Barlow & Lang Insurance, carrying on the family tradition of providing Reginans with the best service and insurance products available. Bill served as Director and President of the Insurance Brokers od Saskatchewan, and proudly attained his A.I.I.C and C.I.B. (Sask) Designations.
1971
Burns Barlow joins his father and brother in the family insurance business As an organization/ administration specialist, Burns takes pride in designing new ways to enhance service to the company’s clientele.
1982
Barlow & Lang Insurance is sold to a multinational company, Reed Stenhouse.
1983
Brian Dusyk joins the Barlow family in the insurance business, after working as an underwriter with SGI Canada and owning his own insurance agency in Montmartre, Sask. through his dedication and knowledge, Brian has obtained his F.I.I.C., C.R.M. and C.I.B. (Sask) insurance designations. Now president of Dusyk & Barlow Insurance Brokers, Brian is a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of Canada and a Canadian Chartered Insurance Broker, two of the highest professional standings available in the Canadian insurance industry. He is licensed in both Saskatchewan and Alberta. Brian is a member of the Honourable Order of the Blue Goose and a past member of the board of directors for the Insurance Brokers’ Association of Saskatchewan. 1993 Brian Dusyk, along with Burns, Bill and Ross Barlow, once again join forces to open their own insurance brokerage, with the purchase of Re/ Max Insurance Regina, located at 230 University Park Drive. Dusyk & Barlow Insurance Brokers Ltd. offers a combined 100-plus years of experience in the insurance industry. 1995 The partners purchase Paul Miles Insurance, located at 4615 Albert Street. This address becomes the new head office of Dusyk & Barlow Insurance Brokers. 1997 The fourth generation of the Barlow family enters the insurance profession, when Stephen Barlow joins Dusyk & Barlow Insurance Brokers. Stephen obtained his C.A.I.B. designation in 2006 and is a member of the Honourable Order of the Blue Goose. He is licensed in Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba and British Columbia. Stephen Barlow is now vice-president of marketing and human resources with Dusyk & Barlow Insurance Brokers Ltd. 1998 Rob Barlow joins Dusyk & Barlow Insurance Brokers Ltd., becoming part of the fourth generation of Barlows to serve in the insurance profession. He attained his Bachelor of Administration degree as a graduate of the University of Regina in 2001. He also obtained his C.A.I.B. designation in 2004 and his Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation in 2018. He is a past member of the SGI President’s Advisory Council, a current member and past board member of the Honourable Order of the Blue Goose. He is licensed in Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba and British Columbia. Rob Barlow is now vice-president of sales and administration with Dusyk & Barlow Insurance Brokers Ltd.
