Twilight home on market

- Melissa Hank

The home Kristen Stewart’s character Bella Swan lived in for the Twilight film series is up for sale.

Built in St. Helens, Ore., in 1935, the four-bedroom, two-bathroom house will run you US$349,900.

“The house by itself is just beautiful, with a view of the river, and deer in the yard. But the movie added a whole other dimension to it,” owner Dean Koenig told USA Today, noting that the production company repainted and spruced it up before filming.

“I’ve kept the house as it was from the movie.”

The house made its debut in the 2008 film Twilight, when Bella moved there with her police chief father Charlie (Billy Burke). For the subsequent four Twilight movies, the house was replicated on a studio sound stage.

“There is a close-up shot of Bella standing in the kitchen right in front of a small square cabinet left of the fridge. My wife leaned over and said ‘Hey! I know what’s in the cupboard,’”

The house by itself is just beautiful, with a view of the river, and deer in the yard. But the movie added a whole other dimension to it.

Koenig elaborated in a written testimonial. “(In) the scene where Charlie meets Edward (Cullen) for the first time, he’s cleaning a gun at my dining room table in my dining room sitting on one of my chairs. That is really a crazy thing to see on a big screen.”

The house is 2,506 square feet and sits on a quarter of an acre.
