Three charged in repeat raid on Albert Street cannabis shop

-

A Regina marijuana dispensary has been hit with its second drug bust in three weeks, with police laying charges against three people and seizing “a large quantity of product and cash.”

Police said the dispensary was located on the 2100 block of Albert Street. A dispensary named Cannagreen has operated in that area at 2139 Albert St.

The same dispensary police raided was searched only three weeks earlier, on Aug. 24. The police action on that date also resulted in three charges.

The latest bust came on Friday, after police received reports that the dispensary was once again allegedly operating. According to a police news release, the Regina Drug Unit conducted enforcement action in accordance with a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant.

Police arrested and charged three people, holding them for court. The accused men are Gerald Dominic Desjarlais, 55, Vincent Regan John Sayer, 38, and Dyllan Joseph Jacob Williamson, 26. These are not the same people who were charged after the previous raid.

All three are charged with possession of marijuana and cannabis resin for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

They were due to appear in Regina provincial court on Monday morning.
